Event in the orchard with Futurefarmers, 2014

Elixir 2014

ELIXIR 2014

2013 - 2021

Elixir

Yearly harvesting event

Initiated by: Marjolijn Dijkman and Maarten Vanden Eynde

Involved: Futurefarmers, Arne Skaug Olsen, Amélie Bouvier, and the many people who participated each year.

Location: Kuikenstraat 6, Drogenbos, behind the Felix Art Museum.

Thanks to: FeliXArt Museum, Drogenbos Municipality, Regionaal Landschap Pajottenland & Zennevallei

Elixir harvested heritage fruits and transforms this resource during public events into all sorts of products that are served during events of Enough Room for Space.

The public orchard surrounding the FeliXart Museum (5 HA) consists of many different sorts of fruit and nut trees and other edible plants. The orchard was once owned by Felix De Boeck, an early modernist Belgian painter who used it to make his living and work independently without having to sell his work.

It is currently maintained by the Province but it's resources are scarcely used; most of it becomes fallen fruit. The public orchard of FeliXart Museum is located around the corner of the Enough Room for Space HQ.

Update 2021: Since the orchard has been fenced off by the FeliXart Museum in 2021 we are unfortunately no longer able to organise the event in the orchard. We will continue to produce cider and Elixir at Enough Room for Space with fruit from the surroundings of Drogenbos.
