Marjolijn Dijkman and Maarten Vanden Eynde established Enough Room for Space in 2005 to create situations where artists will spend time together for reflection and production of new works in response to common interests and / or a specific context. In 2012 they acquired a building in the south of Brussels that besides their own permanent residence and studios will host guests in two accommodations and a work / presentation space.
This site will not conform to the logic of an institutional space, but will allow for life and work to intertwine. Besides its guest accommodation and work / presentation space, the entire building can be used for temporary collective living and working, incorporating privacy. We believe that this intimate atmosphere can stimulate new experiments and facilitate critical reflection, together with audiences and peers.
