Residencies are concentrated research and working periods taking place on changing locations throughout the world. The nature of each residency is outlined by its location, with its own number of participants, length, and predetermined concept. Most of the times this involves working with a local organization(s), a curator or the involvement of local artists. ERforS wants to function as a social and artistic platform for the interaction between the participating artists and their surroundings. We ask the participants to leave their daily occupations and country, to stay in the place of residence. Inside the building we set up a documentation/working space, acting as the nucleus of the residence. The inspiration and ideas sparkled by the new environment are materialized in new works and collaborations. Residencies often result in new work, a follow-up project or On-Site interventions .
