LA MEKANICA it’s an artistic creation and production centre based in Barcelona, that promotes and co produces the work of an independent artists collective, with own works. LA MEKANICA works with performance artists (dance, performance, visual and physical theatre, live art), and collaborates with plastic and visual artists. It promotes creation, interchanges and research artistic programmes and networks, always on narrow collaborations, with other local, national and international artists or cultural organisations. LA MEKANICA it’s not a company, a foundation or a festival... it’s a body of independent and available artists collective, whose primary target is the creation and promotion of collaboration networks, between artists, organizations and cultures.
