IN_DÉPENDANCE: 1500 Affiches, 50 paires de t-shirts noirs et blancs, publication

Réalisé en partenariat avec: le Goethe Institut Yaoundé, dans le cadre du programme off du SUD 2010, Douala, Cameroun.
Prenant pour point de départ les cinquantenaires de l’indépendance de 17 pays africains en 2010, ce projet a pour volonté d’inspirer le dialogue par rapport aux conceptions variées du terme indépendance, politiques, artistiques ou individuelles.
Des paires de t-shirts noirs et blancs seront offertes aux couples mixtes de participants à la triennale SUD à Douala (Cameroun) en Décembre 2010. Les porteurs des t-shirts seront pris en photo et invités à s’exprimer par rapport aux mots „IN“ et „DÉPENDANCE“. Une publication rassemblera leurs idées et leurs photos. Les affiches, d’abord présentées chez Savvy Contemporary à Berlin en Juin 2010, seront diffusées dans l’espace public de Douala.

Taking the 50th anniversary of the independence of 17 African countries as a starting point, this project’s aim is to inspire dialogues about a variety of notions of independence, be they individual political or artistic.
Pairs of black and white T-shirts will be distributed to mixed couples of participants to the triennale SUD in Douala, Cameroon, in December 2010. Photo portrays and their statements about the words „IN“ and „DEPENDENCE“ will be brought together in a publication. In June 2010, the posters were presented as take aways at Savvy Contemporary Berlin, in Douala they will be posted in public space.
