SAVVY CONTEMPORARY – the laboratory of form ideas is a new, ambitious art space in Berlin aimed at fostering the dialogue between “western art” and “non-western art”. In this light, an upcoming independent curator, an artist from Europe or North-America and another artist from Africa, South-America, Asia or Australia are invited to a trialogue.
This trialogue will be moderated by the curator, who will propose an exhibition subjet on art, science, sociological or philosophical issues and the process as well as result of this triangle will culminate in an exhibition and a publication to the exhibition. This space offers outstanding, enterprising and illustrious curatorial and artistic projects a possibility to do an exhibition in its gallery. These curators and artists will have the chance to work with other upcoming colleagues and publish articles intended to research on the supposed discrepancies between “western art” and “non-western art”.
