Erick Beltrán defines different interpretations of knowledge systems. With students from the Gerrit Rietveld academy, he analyzed different forms of information ranging from symbols to diagrams, methodologies in history for visualizing information, and the creation of tools to achieve images of dark matter and dark energy.
