living and working as freelance curator in Berlin. Phd project on "Professionalisation strategies outside the academic system of contemporary artists in Douala, Cameroon" (case study), Department of art history (Prof. Tobias Wendl) at FU Berlin
Curatorial Profile:
My curatorial focus is set on the display, contextualization and mediation of art. I am interested in an art that interacts and challenges the realities at hand with various forms of artistic research and by creating links with sociology, (art) history and politics.
My artistic background is brought into my curatorial practice as a tool to communicate intimately with artists during their production processes and as a base for playful experiments with spatial and conceptual situations of display for exhibitions.
I am trying to develop a fashion-resistant curatorial personality, aware of the dynamics of the international art world but more devoted to establishing art as a societal voice in specific contexts, without instrumentalising it.
