Los Angeles Works is an international, interdisciplinary project with the aim to investigate our contemporary urban condition through the prism of the Los Angeles metropolitan landscape. Initiated by The project seeks to stimulate artistic and academic reflection on the urban condition by doing location-based research, producing visual art works and texts, giving presentations, facilitating international and interdisciplinary collaborations, organizing an exhibition and, finally, a publication.

Please Excuse our Appearance was an experimental artists’ residency that reveals the participants’ work in progress as they reflect on the changing face of Eastside.

The Annex will open up space for artists to work for 3 or 4 weeks together within the context of the Jan van Eyck Academy and its residents. Besided lectures, presentations and small workshops are being organized.
