SOMA
SOMA is an experimental project conceived to optimise discussion and exchange in the field of contemporary art. Our goal is to produce a counterpoint to the dynamics of art schools, museums, and galleries. SOMA has been conceived by local contemporary artists with the intention of building upon the experiences of local alternative spaces like La Panadería and T44.
No Academy
The No Academy is a laboratory for social design, where starting artists and designers are working on a practical job for nine months, involving social, urban issues. They will do this under the supervision of an expert. The results are kept up to date and circulated through the No Academy website, which functions as the key figure of the laboratory.
Public Preparation
Public Preparation is an international platform for knowledge-production and network-based communication. First and foremost, it is a space for self-education focusing on current practices of critical thinking and production in the field of contemporary art. The practice of Public Preparation is mainly based on creating situations for experience, reflection and discussion in various formats. The project is a method for recognising, discussing and establishing intellectual and professional connections. In that sense, it is a collective exercise in order to get ready for the upcoming future – a continuous preparation process that can never be complete but is always ready to take action.

The Phrontistery: Obscure Words and Vocabulary Resources
The Phrontistery is dedicated to expanding the study and enjoyment of English words and wordplay through the medium of the Internet.
Department of Reading
The Department of Reading is an online-based project displayed in different spatial configurations and designed to promote new forms of reading. In order to expose the act of reading in its potentiality the Department of Reading investigates, how the disposition of readers to comment and interfere with text can be made public as well as a mode to open texts towards their intricate textures. Thus one of the most crucial questions of the Department of Reading concerns the collectiveness of reading and asks, in how far such a collectivity is always already implied within the very texture of a given text. Examining the mechanisms of reading through reading, the labour reading takes, its time and space, the Department of Reading attempts to redraw the concept of reading and expose textures of predication.
unitednationsplaza
unitednationsplaza is exhibition as school. Structured as a seminar/residency program in the city of Berlin, it will involve collaboration with approximately 60 artists, writers, theorists and a wide range of audiences for a period of one year. In the tradition of Free Universities, most of its events will be open to all those interested to take part.
